Isobel, our stewardship manager, helps coordinate trail maintenance projects, conduct property monitoring and mapping, and manage volunteers. Her hope is to connect communities with their local ecology by supporting public access and ecosystem health on conserved lands.

She is most interested in how individually and culturally held worldviews and value systems shape the way humans relate to their surroundings and each other, and has explored this question through work in conservation, sustainable agriculture, and experiential education. You can often find her getting hopelessly distracted (and sometimes lost) in the woods looking at plants, and otherwise enjoying the outdoors by swimming, climbing, and hiking. She holds a bachelor degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Bates College.
