As Trails and Facilities Manager, Joe is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of Hidden Valley Nature Center, including firewood production, trail improvement projects, and hut maintenance. He works closely with the community and volunteers to ensure that visitors have a quality and fulfilling experience through nature.

Joe grew up in Lincoln County and currently lives in Edgecomb with his wife and son. He enjoys the solitude and simplicity of being in nature with some of his favorite pastimes being canoeing, backpacking, foraging, and reading sci-fi novels. His love for nature and exploring led him to a BA in Adventure Education at Plymouth State University. .
