Covid-19 Protocols for Hidden Valley

Bike Rentals:

  • Registrants only from ME, or other states not requiring quarantine or individuals who have completed 14 day quarantine 
  • Covid-19 questionnaire completed by all prior to the start of the rental
  • Pre-registrations are preferable
  • Bikes and helmets are sanitized prior to rental with hospital grade sanitizing spray
  • Social Distancing of six feet will be maintained during bike pick up, orientation and drop off
  • Participants must wear masks during interactions with staff

Canoe Rentals:

No registration needed; first come first served

  • At the end of your paddle gear is to be cleaned and disinfected using the hospital grade sanitization solution provided. Spray and disinfect each piece of equipment then let it air dry
  • Paddles: please hang the paddle back in the boat house and spray each part of paddle that was touched
  • PFDs: please hang the PDFs back in the boat house and spray commonly touched areas—buckles & straps etc.
  •  Canoes: please spray seats, gunwales, thwarts, deck plates (anything you touched) before returning the canoe back to the rack

Courses/ Workshops:

  • Registrants only from ME, or other states not requiring quarantine or individuals who have completed 14 day quarantine 
  • Covid-19 questionnaire completed by all prior to the start of the rental
  • Participants are to wear masks during the course/ when not socially distanced by six feet
  • Hand sanitizer is available at all times at the Barn
  • Hand sanitizer is available in the outhouses
  • Tool sanitization takes place at the end of each day and use between different participants
  • Participants/ Instructors must bring their own food & drink
  • Spectators must remain socially distanced, no more than five spectators at one time

Cabin rentals:All cabins and yurts are self-service. We are relying on campers to uphold Covid-19 cleaning protocols for the health and safety of everyone.

  • Each cabin (and its outhouse) is equipped with cleaning supplies. Campers are asked to clean surfaces upon their arrival and again when departing. Please focus cleaning efforts on hard, frequently touched surfaces (e.g. door knobs, tables, chairs, wood stove, window cranks etc.)
  • Family units only; please do not share a cabin or yurt with people outside your household.
