Time: Sat, May 16, 8:00 am - 11:00 am
Join avid birder Ted Mohlie for a taste of spring migration by visiting the varied habitats on two preserves: Quarry Hill and Founder’s. At this time of year, the local breeding birds should be on territory and more northern species should still be passing through. With luck, we can hope to see and/or hear about 60 species during the morning. Wear boots and be prepared to walk up to 2 miles on gentle terrain.
Bring binoculars if you have them; loaners will be available.
Location: From Rt. 1 N, turn left on Depot Street (just before the Town Office). About a mile up, turn right onto Quarry Road. Drive past
the quarry and the kiosk and parking are on the right immediately before the power line crossing.
