Time: Wed, May 5, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Hidden Valley Nature Center
Hildy Ellis, recently-retired Coordinator at Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District, will lead visitors on a walk along the margins of the bog at Hidden Valley Nature Center. A 220-foot boardwalk extends into the heart of the wetland, making it possible for visitors to interact with a fascinating, but incredibly delicate ecosystem, and to witness the spring explosion of plant life there.
Meet at HVNC gate and be guided to our kettle hole bog to explore the explosion of plant life as spring arrives. Easy walk – 10 minutes each way.
Dress appropriately: there could be bugs. Binoculars are a plus. Please bring a mask.
$5 donation for non-members.
No dogs please!
