Time: Sat, Jun 24, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Jump Pond Preserve in Palermo is a small but lovely Preserve with views of the Sheepscot River and stately white pines.
June’s last Saturday volunteer project will be cutting trail at the Jump Pond Preserve. The trail has been flagged, and our Maine Conservation Corps Environmental Steward will be leading the trail work, along with long-time volunteer Buck O’Herin.
The project will go from 9AM-12PM. We will provide most tools and gloves, but you’re welcome to bring your own hand tools such as loppers and bow saws. Please wear long pants and boots. Bring a water bottle!
Come take part in building a brand new trail! Oh, and we’ll have vouchers for a free ice cream cone at John’s Ice Cream for the first 5 people who show up at the work day!
Directions: Heading east on Rt 3, take a left onto Level Hill Road just after you pass Sheepscot Pond. Drive 0.7 miles, then take a right onto Hostile Valley Road. The pull off is on the right in about 1 mile.
