Time: Fri, Sep 17, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us to help manage an ever-growing patch of Japanese Knotweed along the Sheepscot River at Trout Brook Preserve in Alna. For this second round, we will cut and mark two experimental management plots to then compare next spring. We will meet in the Trout Brook Preserve Parking lot (1888 Alna Rd, Alna, ME ) at 10am and walk a 1/2 mile to the site. Please bring gloves and loppers if you have them; long pants are recommended. Extra gloves and tools will be on site. Come join the fun and help curtail the spread of this invasive in a lovely floodplain habitat abounding with wild iris and cardinal flowers!
