Time: Sat, May 15, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Enjoy a spring wildflower walk at the beautiful Riverbrook Preserve. Lady Slippers, Trillium and other spring wildflowers should be in full display. The preserve trail follows the river’s edge, then winds its way through woods and fields, offering a variety of wildflower displays. Chris Schorn, Midcoast Conservancy’s Senior Land Steward, will lead this hike to look at the many spring-blooming flowers and plants of midcoast Maine.
Registration is required. Physical-distancing guidelines will be observed and all participants must bring a mask.
To get to the Riverbrook Preserve from the south, follow 220 N from Rt. 1 in Waldoboro (the intersection is across from Moody’s Diner). The preserve is on the left, about 3/4 of a mile past the intersection with Old Augusta Road. From the north, the preserve is on the right about a mile past Morse’s Saurkraut.
