Midcoast Conservancy’s series of wildlife habitat walks in 2019 includes three walks, on June 15, July 13 and August 17.
For this event, consider joining Moe Martin and others on a wildlife habitat walk on Hogback Mountain. Moe was born and raised on Hogback and there are few, if any, who are as familiar with, or care more about, the land, the trees, the rocks and the wildlife of that special place. As a professional woodsman, Moe has an understanding of and insight into the life of the forest and the lives of numerous individual trees. Come along as Moe offers insights into the many initiatives that he has taken on his land and their impact on local wild creatures.
Meet on the Howard Road in Montville – about a quarter mile down Howard Rd from where it fronts the Halldale Road.
Each walk features the observation and discussion of wildlife habitat initiatives that these individuals have taken on their land. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into the impact their efforts have had on wildlife. These walks represent a wonderful opportunity for participants to learn what can be done (and how to do it) to support wildlife.
