Appreciating Trees in Winter

  • Hidden Valley Nature Center 131 Egypt Road Jefferson, ME, 04348 United States (map)

Winter in the woods can be a really great time for getting to know trees. Many, of course, have lost their leaves—but that can make it even easier to focus on some of their even more visible features, from the shape of twigs to the shape of the tree, not to mention the bark, the buds, and more. Join a Maine Master Naturalist for a walk to check out trees in the woods at HVNC on Sunday, January 30, at 1 pm.

This is a free event open to all ages, but group size is limited to 12 and registration is required. Please register early to reserve your spot!

Dress warmly and wear microspikes if you have them - trails can be icy.
