Join Halcyon String Quartet and Friends on Sunday, August 2nd at 7PM for a summer evening of rollicking music!

Halcyon will kick off the evening with a joyful set of string quartet music from around the world and will be joined by violinists Luke Fatora and Anne McKee, violist Nate Lesser, and cellist Marisa Solomon for a performance of Mendelssohn's Octet.

Written when he was only 16 years old, this tour de force is full of soaring melodies, bubbling energy, and exuberance. The hour-long performance gratefully remembers Rev. Deborah McKean, who cheered on musicians and treasured the environments of Maine.

The event is open to all with admission by donation and proceeds benefiting Midcoast Conservancy, Georges River Land Trust, and Broad Bay Church.
