Join us for a Wednesday Wander at Clarry Hill Preserve. The Clarry Hill trail offers spectacular views of the Medomak watershed and beyond while winding through blueberry fields and forest. The scenic vistas from the property are extraordinary with panoramic views from Muscongous and Penobscot bay to the Western Mountains. Local land owner Susan Morris will guide the group from the upper parking lot down the trail, sharing the history of the property, how it came to be conserved, and its mixed uses for recreation and agriculture.
The group will meet at the Jackson Rd trail head, leave some cars there, and carpool to the upper trail head at 530 Elmer Hart Ln, Union, ME, about an 8 minute drive. From the upper trail head the group will hike primarily downhill ending the hike at the Jackson Rd trail head from which folks will carpool once again back to the cars left at the top.
This is a fair weather hike and will be canceled if it is raining the day of the program.
All are welcome! Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
While this is a free event, we appreciate your registration which is essential for our planning.
