Our Heafitz Farm Oysters are tended by our Sheepscot River Watershed Manager, Melissa Cote, and grown in collaboration with Glidden Point Oyster Farms. They are surface cultured and grown to around 3" in the Sheepscot River. The Sheepscot is a large estuary with significant saline input due to the breadth of the river mouth to the Atlantic Ocean, giving these tasty bivalves a strong, briney punch.
Not only are Heafitz Farm Oysters delicious, but each adult oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water per day AND proceeds benefit our conservation work.
