Join us, and Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission for an informative walk and talk workshop at Hidden Valley.
The Department of Agriculture Conservation and Forestry, Maine Natural Areas Program, and Maine Forest Service will lead this program on common terrestrial invasive species and how to deal with them on your property.
Learn what common invasive species inhabit our yards and woods, how to identify them, and how they affect the native ecology. Find out what actions you can take in and around your home and community to mitigate these invasive species. Take home educational resources and know where to find answers to your questions as they arise.
The Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission is bringing the “Planning in the Wild” workshop series to communities across Lincoln County throughout 2026.
This hands-on community workshop series will connect residents, local leaders, and partner organizations with practical information and real-world tools for addressing local challenges and opportunities. Workshops will feature collaboration with local, regional, and state experts and practitioners on topics communities have identified as priorities for learning and action.
All are welcome! Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
While this is a free event, we appreciate your registration which is essential for our planning.
