Join Maine Master Naturalists on a guided hike as we explore the Marsh River Preserve.
Estuaries and their surrounding coastal habitats are found where the rivers meet the sea. These borders between land and ocean have unique plant and animal species who thrive in their brackish waters.
Marsh River Preserve is part of the Sheepscot River corridor, an area of ecological significance, and, as a tributary of the lower Sheepscot River, the preserve provides additional habitat for rare plants, animal and natural communities. During this Wednesday Wander will walk a short loop to the edge of the estuary to observe plants and animals in this unique habitat.
All are welcome! Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
While this is a free event, we appreciate your registration which is essential for our planning.
