Refund and Return Policy


Program & Event Purchases and Reservations 

  • There will be no refunds for purchases and reservations made for Midcoast Conservancy events, classes, clinics, or other programs: This is because we incur expenses associated with offering the programming. However, registrations can be transferred to another person, or into a membership with Midcoast Conservancy.  

  • At the discretion of Midcoast Conservancy staff, registration for certain classes (such as Timberframe and Chainsaw Safety) may be refunded to participants who are unable to attend if Midcoast Conservancy is notified more than 48 hours in advance of your inability to attend, and if the space in the class can be filled through a pre-existing Wait List.

  • Transactions made in error through our website (i.e. accidental duplicate ticket purchase, purchase of the wrong event, etc.) may be corrected or refunded provided the request is made within 15 days of the transaction and more than 48 hours before the scheduled date of the program. 

  • Should Midcoast Conservancy need to cancel or postpone an event, class, clinic, program, etc. for any reason, including inclement weather, it will be posted on our Facebook page and our website. Any delays, changes in venue, corrections, or cancellations will be communicated with registrants via email as soon as they are known to us.

  • If Midcoast Conservancy must cancel or reschedule an event, class, clinic, or program and you are unable to attend due to this change, Midcoast Conservancy is happy to issue you a refund. Please note, this policy does not go into effect if an event or program needs to move to an event’s previously published rain date.

  • Purchases made through a credit or debit card will be returned to the original method of payment. Purchases made via cash or check will be returned via check.

  • All programming may be subject to change.

Lodging Reservations

  • The booking of, and refunds for, all Midcoast Conservancy lodging is determined on the Hipcamp website.

  • All cancelation policies for lodging are stated on the Hipcamp website.

School Groups 

  • To help us ensure our educational programs are staffed appropriately, we encourage school groups to notify us of cancellations no later than 48 hours before your scheduled visit (weather-related emergency cancellations are always an exception). 

  • In the event of a cancellation because of your school/district closing (because of weather, health, or other reasons), Midcoast Conservancy will work with your school to reschedule.

  • In the event of a cancellation because of a Midcoast Conservancy closing, we will contact you prior to your visit and will work with you to reschedule. 

  • While we will make every effort to find a time and date mutually acceptable to the school and Midcoast Conservancy, we are unable to guarantee availability. 

Memberships and Charitable Donations

  • Midcoast Conservancy memberships are considered charitable donations. 

  • Charitable donations made in error through our website may be corrected or refunded provided the request is made within 15 days of the transaction. These refunds will be returned using the original method of payment. 

  • If you did not make your donation using our website, please contact us to discuss your refund request.

  • Payments made through a credit or debit card will be returned to the original method of payment. Payments made via cash or check will be returned via check.

Facility Rentals

  • A deposit of 50% of your estimated total rental cost is required to reserve the date and time of your event and will be applied to your total rental fee. Any balance due must be received by Midcoast Conservancy 24 hours prior to the event. 

  • Your deposit is fully refundable up to one week prior to your scheduled event. After that time, we are unable to offer you a refund of your deposit. 

  • If your event is canceled due to inclement weather, Midcoast Conservancy will work with you, to the best of our ability, to reschedule your event. However, Midcoast Conservancy is unable to guarantee availability. 

  • Payments made through a credit or debit card will be returned to the original method of payment. Payments made via cash or check will be returned via check.
