Jordan grew up in Central Maine on a homestead with sheep, chickens, ducks, honeybees, a maple syrup operation, and a couple dogs. These days, she has a dog and cat, and a couple of chickens kicking around. She spends her downtime working in her shed on her stained glass art, a hobby she started two years ago.

Jordan is a senior in the Wildlife Ecology program at the University of Maine at Orono where she is the Vice President of the student chapter of The Wildlife Society. She has worked with Atlantic Salmon with the Department of Marine Resources, and also with dairy cows at a farm in her hometown. After working with DMR, she has developed an interest in fish passage and stream/river habitats.

After graduating, Jordan plans to work in Maine, hopefully in a river system where she can spend the summer being cooled by a stream. She approaches river conservation by recognizing that insects, fish, birds, mammals, trees, and soil form an essential partnership; the health of the waterway depends directly on all of them working together.
